Get a little curious…
February 27, 2008 by Denise Appel
I’m making an appearance online and would love for you to join me. Some of you may already be a member of Epicurious.com, others may not.
I’ll enlighten…
Epicurious is a great resource for those of us who love food—I love to see how other people use ingredients in their recipes. I recently became a member for two reasons. First, I love food and I want to see what other people are doing. Second, I wanted a way to make my recipes more easily available to download, print and save. I love the “recipe box” feature and the recipe swap forum. So I have uploaded my recipes from my blog onto my profile. If I’m feeling daring, I may event upload videos—maybe a demonstration or a peek at our Chef’s Table events.
The site makes it simple to search, print and collect recipes from submitters from around the world. To find my recipes, search “deniseappel” and select the “member recipes” option. Make sure you spell my name lowercase and all as one word! For some weird reason that I can not fathom [I'm a chef, not a computer person!] finding my recipes does not work if you try it in the overall search at the top of the site. I think it has to do with not being able to select “member recipes” from that search area. Anyway, check it out and tell me if you think it’s user-friendly and easy to navigate.
In other news, information for the March Chef’s Table is now posted. We hope to see you there!

I have been using Epicurious.com for a long time and I didn’t even know that feature existed. I had a look and it took me a while to figure it out too. But alas, I found your recipes. Pretty cool stuff. Other than the initial confusion (on my part) it’s pretty easy. I’ll start looking for your contributions there too and add my favorites to my recipe box. I’ll keep coming back to this blog though and use it for primary source for my favorite Zinc recipes. Thank you for sharing. Can you share your recipe for the the Tomato and Kaffir Lime soup from Chow next?
