I’m returning to the CT area after a 30 year absence. This past week, I was on my way to the Shubert when the NY Times article hanging in the Zinc window drew me in. I love the ambience and food at Zinc!
I was disappointed to learn that your cheesecake with figs and caramelized hazelnuts was no longer on the menu (I was accidently given an old one). Would you be willing to share the recipe?
I can’t wait to take my boyfriend to Zinc or to try Chow with him the next time he visits from Detroit. Thanks for a great dining experience!
Alba is the pastry chef at Zinc, she’s like a deity in our house, although we’ve never met her.
The desserts at Zinc are from another planet. I was hoping that Alba might “guest host” here and share a few of her recipes as well..
We saw the menu on the outside of zinc and came in to find our happiness. We are bar-rats, so we sat with Jennette and were entranced by her ever-flowing smile. We told her e were newbies and she guided us through our desicion making. Everything was excellent. Denise, you are the next Iron Chef!!!!! Screw Mario Batali when you have Denise Appel!
We thoroughly enjoyed the leek fondue appetizer. What a great addition!
