What’s a better way to kick off the summer season than with our annual Market Menu? I think we can all agree that it’s been a very long winter, and even spring for that matter. I have been counting down the days till I can start visiting all the farmer’s markets’ to start putting together this years menu.
Yesterday, June 15th, our first Market Menu of the season was featured. I hope you are as excited as I am. There is truly nothing better than fresh food from the market. Also on Wednesday, I performed the “Lettuce Toss” at CitySeed’s Downtown Market with Mayor John DeStefano as an opening to their summer farmers’ market. Now that the market is officially open downtown every Wednesday, make sure you visit and pick up some of the best fresh produce around. Perhaps we will run into each other, since I will be busy picking up fresh ingredients for each weeks Market Menu. It is located on Church Street across from the Green. I was honored to be a part of this!
Just a reminder for those of you who love the outdoors – Kitchen ZINC’s patio is open! It’s been nice to see it filled on sunny days, watching guests enjoying their delicious pizza and new frozen cocktails. And for those of you who love to travel by bike, there is a bike rack conveniently located right outside our patio! Stay tuned for some upcoming surprises at Kitchen ZINC. You definitely won’t want to miss this!
Here are some upcoming events that I am participating in:
- Saturday June 18th: IFAI Food Tour at ZINC
- Saturday June 25, Wooster Square Farmers’ Market Demo at 11 am
Look forward to seeing you all at the restaurant. Let me know what you think of the Market Menu!
