CRISP TOPPING

Ingredients
- 4 cups whole oats
- 1/2 pound butter 2 sticks cut into 1/2 cubes
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unbleached flour
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in bowl; spread on 2 lightly oiled baking sheets and bake 12 minutes, stirring halfway through baking.
- Remove from oven. Spoon partially baked topping onto juniper apples. Finish baking as instructed above.
