AUTUMN SWEET BREAD

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 4 cups cake flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
- pinch ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Sift together all dry ingredients three times.
- In large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy; add eggs one at a time, beating well. Add sifted flour mixture, alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour. Mix until combined; do not over blend.
- Pour into 2 greased loaf pans.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes, until wooden skewer inserted in center comes out clean.
