[...] 14, 2009 by Denise Appel I thought everyone might enjoy a nice summer red sangria recipe. I love making a big batch of sangria to enjoy after a summer afternoon in the garden and playing [...]
Hi Denise,
Is this the same sangria I had at Zinc on Valentine’s Day? That was great!
Bob
No, actually the one in ZINC they had on Valentine’s Day is our winter sangria. This recipe posted above is a summer fruit sangria.
Here is the recipe for our WINTER SANGRIA:
make a simple sypup with 1cup sugar
1 cup water
1 cinn stick
2 pieces star anise
pinch of ground cardamom
once heated and let steap for 1 hour or overnight and cool.
add:
4ounces of a dolcetto or a lite to medium body red wine
1Tablespoon rose’s apple essence
1 tablespoon brandy
splash soda water
mix together and serve in wine glass with slices of apples.
HOPE THAT HELPS! ENJOY!

Excellent! Thank you very much!
